Corpsmember Transitions to NPS
Dorell Boyd is an alumni corpsmember with the Citizens Conservation Corps (CCC). Dorrell joined the CCC in 2014 for the Manassas National Battlefield Park vegetation project which involved cutting, encroaching, and invasive vegetation from historic monuments. His exemplary work on the project allowed him to return for a second year as a CCC crew leader to work on the Hands-On Preservation Experience (HOPE) project through the National Trust for Historic Preservation at Prince William Forest Park. In addition, Dorell worked on two HOPE crew projects in 2016; the Big Meadows Window Restoration project and again at Prince William Forest Park. Dorell was most recently hired on full time with the National Park Service at Prince William Forest Park as a federal employee in the maintenance department. The CCC is extremely proud of Dorell and all of his accomplishments! We look forward to hearing about all the great things he will do at Prince William Forest Park.
